When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.
- Jimi Hendrix "Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness."
- Maya Angelou Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
By : Mark Twain Thank you all for the well wishes and love on my birthday. These words echo in my soul: “Sister I’m so glad we have each other.” “How special you are to me.” “I’m so thankful I have a sister like you to count on.” Happy birthday to my beautiful, wonderful, talented, outstanding, phenomenal, spiritual, compassionate, loving amazing and inspirational sister.” “You’re a God sent angel willing to help.” “You’re one of the best and truest friends.” “A birthday wish from the heart…” “To a wonderful and graceful lady.” “May God bless you and keep you in a special way.” The words and love keep pouring out, which bring tears to my eyes. Wow! I pray that I can continue to measure up to those words and be a blessing to others. “Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.” __Maya Angelou
Reflecting on the day I was born, gives me great joy. There was a terrible storm that day and my mother could not get to hospital. My grandmother had to step in and assist in the process. I was ready to come into this world and nothing was going to stop me. There was panic, confusion yet love. On my birth certificate there is no time or weight, so I was either born at midnight or after midnight. Even my mother is still confused to this date. When I was young, my mom celebrated my birthday first on July 16 and then on July 15. Whatever, I celebrate the gift of life and knowing that I am here for a purpose. God continues to shine his light on me, so that I can be an instrument of peace, love and joy. The house where I was born in Louisiana.
Don't settle on being one-dimensional, but strive to be three- dimensional.
I had a great time in dance class! When I dance, my mind, body and soul are set free.
"Dancing is silent poetry." - Simonides When I visited East Berlin Wall , I viewed the museum by Checkpoint Charlie. I saw a whole section dedicated to the Civil Rights Movement with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in full profile. I thought it was weird that our plight toward justice was displayed there, and this is the reason why.
