A New Journey into the Light/ Buckwheat Saves the Galaxy.
After Buckwheat’s whirlwind journey, he is settled and satisfied being back in Chicago. The atmosphere in the display case is transformed. The women finally accept Buckwheat, regardless of his appearance, class or social differences. He no longer has to wear the mask. However, something is amiss; the display case is still shrouded amid puzzling and suspenseful elements. An unknown and uncharacteristic presence is felt. A shaft of light spirals gyrates and whooshes Buckwheat and the women away into a new journey into the light. Buckwheat’s new mission has begun; he has to save the galaxy. The solar system is in trouble. The planets are wandering farther from the Sun, switching positions, which is distorting the universe and setting off a cosmic chain reaction. Global warming and the gravitational pull will eventually destroy the universe. His partners and reinforcements are Galileo Galilei, an Italian astronomer, mathematician, physicist, philosopher and professor; Sophisticated Lady, his nemesis in the display case and now friend; Benjamin Banneker, son of an ex-slave, self-educated mathematician, astronomer, compiler of almanacs and writer and Sir Isaac Newton, an English mathematician, astronomer, theologian, author and physicist. This journey holds shocking secrets and a new beginning for Buckwheat. “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.”_ William Shakespeare
