On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat. She said, “Have you ever been hurt and the place tries to heal a bit, and you just pull the scar off of it over and over again.” When I wrote the fiction novel Buckwheat’s Journey, the mask we wear is unveiled.
How would Buckwheat respond to the tragic incidents in the world today? He would say, "Light up the world" with Love, Peace and Happiness.
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt within the heart."
Helen Keller While writing this fiction novel, I went through a transformation, journey of discovery.
"Don’t change so people will like you. Be yourself and the right people will love the real you.”
Buckwheat, a victim of rejection and isolation, takes a journey of self-introspection and discovers the light beneath.
"It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light." __Aristotle
“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson Are you always comparing yourself to others: fat or skinny, intelligent or unintelligent, beautiful or ugly? We all do. Be content and love yourself. That is what Buckwheat discovered on his journey. It is not what is on the outside that matters but the inside.
